Is the use a depilatory cream on upper lip prior to laser hair removal allowed?

No you will be arrested by the mustache police. Is the use a depilatory cream on upper lip prior to laser hair removal allowed?
You probably don't want to do it shortly beforehand -- the laser needs enough hair left in the follicle to fry the follicle, and depilatory creams dissolve the hair somewhat below the surface of the skin. If you don't have enough left, the hair doesn't get hot enough when stimulated by the laser, to fry the follicle and keep it from making more hair. This is also why laser hair removal doesn't work as well on finer or lighter color hair.

It does also irritate the skin and could add extra irritation to the process -- think of your upper lip being red all the rest of the day and possibly going peely and dry from the double irritation (cream, then laser). Just shave if you need to the day or two before. Is the use a depilatory cream on upper lip prior to laser hair removal allowed?
No. I was told a razor only, unfortunately. here is a chemical in the cream that can interfere with the laser process.
???????? what???????
